I developed and implemented place-based learning curricula for Plant and Animal Science and Chemistry courses, which enhanced student engagement and real-world connections in a Title 1 school setting. I designed and adapted scaffolded curriculum to support approximately 35% of students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), ensuring they had equitable access to educational content and fostering inclusive learning environments. I facilitated community partnerships to enrich students' understanding of scientific concepts, cultural contexts, and environmental stewardship, significantly enhancing their learning experiences and practical knowledge. I created and aligned Plant and Animal Science and Chemistry curricula from scratch, ensuring they complied with NGSS standards and integrated place-based learning to provide relevant and engaging educational experiences.

I planned, scheduled, and led meetings with treatment plant personnel, upper management, and contracting companies. I composed monthly and annual monitoring and compliance reports for two of the largest Wastewater Treatment Plants on Oahu. I managed a pollution prevention program that tested and analyzed water in sewage pipes for agricultural pollutant runoff. Additionally, I trained new employees on routine work, including plant visits, specific analyte calculations, and proper report documentation.

In this position, I undertook long-term projects that involved inspecting over 100 fire hydrants on the UCLA campus to ensure they met code requirements and could function effectively in emergencies. I helped implement new software to GPS locate fire hydrants, Knox boxes, and fire panel locations throughout the campus. Additionally, my daily tasks included assisting in the approval of permits for fire-related activities, as well as executing various clerical and organizational tasks for the department. I also co-taught fire suppression education courses to classes of 8-10 college students.
