Highly determined pre-professional who has experience working with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault and adolescents with co-occurring mental health disorders. I aspire to work with children and adolescents who struggle with mental health disorders in order to make a change early in their lives. My goal is to be a licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor postgraduate school. My volunteer experience at a food pantry and a community outreach program has given me a multitude of knowledge and respect for working with diverse and multicultural clients. I proposed and completed a service project for the food pantry where the psychology department collected 300+ soup cans to donate. I also organized a two-day seminar where sixteen psychology undergraduates were able to be certified in Mental Health First Aid. Teamwork, organization, and integrity are three skills valuable to me not only in my personal life but in my role as the psychology club president and psychology student research worker. Given my leadership experience, I use my servant-heart to inspire and guide others on their journey of recovery and to live a healthy, successful life.
