Special Events/Street Team duties: · Assist with event logistics to include: setting room, creating decor, monitoring event and clean up after.· Registration tables staffing · Monitor the promotional item inventory, update inventory sheet and stock items as needed· Assist with office projects and answer phones· Research potential events to promote and come up with creative promotion strategies· Create a calendar of promotions· Recruit service students and provide training· Develop relationships with key departments to aid in promoting the collegePromotions duties: · Promote awareness of college programs and services at campus and community eventsMedia Relations duties:· Processing photo release forms· Scheduling events and reminders on social media· Archiving media coverage on the website· Submitting external community calendar items· Provide event photography support· Draft reports and/or stories, releases · Assisting with proofing and editing

A. Responsible for communicating information to campus (i.e. sandwich boards, flyers, pamphlets, mass e-mails, school newspaper, etc.) and utilizing Get the Word Out.B. Responsible for communication with the student body and Chapter members via social media, email, and texting.C. Responsible for overseeing the update/maintenance of the Chapter web page with the approval of an Advisor.D. Responsible for creating and posting the Chapter newsletter on the web page with approval of an Advisor.E. Responsible for maintaining the bulletin boards and Phi Theta Kappa showcase displays.F. Set out sandwich boards for Southern & Dobson weekly general meetings.

A. Plan and conduct weekly general chapter meetings at the Red Mountain campus.C. Inform students about all opportunities presented the Center for Excellence.D. Support the Honors in Action council in their efforts to implement the Honors in Action project.E. Advertise Phi Theta Kappa events at the Red Mountain Campus. 1. Work with Public Relations Officer to create flyers and promotional materials. 2. Set out sandwich boards for Red Mountain weekly general meetings.F. Integrate Phi Theta Kappa programs and Hallmarks (Scholarship, Leadership, Service, Fellowship) into weekly general meetings.G. Create semester calendar for the general meetings at the Red Mountain campus with input from other officers.1. The agenda for each specific general meeting should be approved at the executive board meeting two weeks in advance.H. Works with the Advisors and other officers to help educate students about available scholarships. 1. Assist chapter members in navigating Fall and Spring Phi Theta Kappa Common Scholarship Applications.I. Be responsible for implementing and promoting leadership development.J. Shall preside as the acting President if the acting President and Vice President of Southern & Dobson is absent.
