CurrentOperationalize security activities with Mexico to reduce risk associated with U.S. border security issues. As civilian employee, lead team of 17 civilians and uniformed military personnel in ensuring simple and clear understanding of complex issues associated with U.S.-Mexico relations to support Combatant Commander in strategic, policy, human and financial resource decisions making. Conduct extensive political, military, cultural, social, economic, narco-terrorism, counter threat finance (CTF) and transnational criminal organizations (TCOs) assessments and risk analysis. Validate and build strategic alliances with civilian and military sources in Mexico to formulate risk calculations. Collaborate with senior leadership in Mexico and intelligence sources in U.S. to analyze complex/disparate data, and translate intelligence into comprehensive presentations/white papers on national security threats and opportunities.Impact highlights include…• Led nine responses for Commander’s congressional testimonies, winning 100% of requested program funding each time.• Facilitated world’s first-ever summit of security leaders from eight key Central American security partners, leading to increase in regional security and stability.• Awarded Air Force Exemplary Civilian Award from first commander for outstanding achievement in pol-mil diplomacy.• Personally recognized by Commander, Deputy Commander, and Director of the J5 for outstanding achievement in Mexican key leader engagements.• Hand selected for promotion to Senior Division Civilian during personnel turnover.• Personally recognized by Mexican Secretaries of National Defense and Navy for outstanding performance.• Continuously consulted to Embassy, Pentagon, military services, Commander’s personal office, the J5, etc. on insight and opinion of evolving U.S. – Mexican policy and strategy.
