Director Of Events Management, Office Of Events Management
Current- Provide strategic leadership and goal setting for the department. - Supervise team that manages event-related approvals, provides consultation services, and develops and implements policies and procedures.- Set the course for the department, developing strong cross-functional relationships as a trusted leader at the College.- Serve as the strategic planner responsible for proposing updates and modifications to department operations. - Develop and refine revenue-generating models of service.- Advise senior management on areas of success and improvement.- Play a lead planning & producing role for high profile College events.- Work closely with the President’s Office, Dean of the College, Board of Trustees, and other key stakeholders as needed.- Lead the department to provide planning guidance & logistical support for signature events managed by other departments.- Develop and manage processes for work flow, space scheduling, conference assistance, training, and event support.- Develop, publish, and revise robust communications to inform community of event-related policies and procedures. - Ensure collaborative means of working across all campus constituencies, including strong and efficient workflows with Purchasing, Finance/Accounting, and Facilities.- Create presentations/summaries as necessary for the communication of event and department-related information.- Further the development and implementation of internal and external rental program for campus spaces.- Oversee space rentals and negotiate rental contracts on behalf of the department. - Manage a tracking system for space requests, approvals, and rentals.- Oversee the Event Management System (EMS) software for the campus reservation process and work with fulfillment partners to monitor and strategically utilize.- Manage contracts with vendors.- Develop and maintain departmental budgets. - Manage a team of event planners and related staff, delegating responsibilities across team members.
