I joined Dewson Architects in 2004, after completing my Bachelor of Environmental Studies – Architecture, and Master of Architecture degrees at the School of Architecture at the University of Waterloo. Throughout my education, my focus was on sustainable architecture and building science, enclosure design testing, environmental stewardship associations, salvaged materials reuse solutions and sculptural exploration.  My graduate thesis examined biomimetic thermal regulation – applying biological and vernacular environment management solutions to 21st-century building design. Bringing more than 20 years of experience as the Managing Architect of the studio, I lead the day-to-day operations, and have helped guide an incredible team to become a leading Toronto architecture firm.  I have rigorous attention to detail that harmonizes client desires with technical excellence.  Having the tenacity for critical thought helps steer the firm’s vision and direction and maintain the firm’s memberships in sustainable design associations. I have driven many highly acclaimed projects for the firm, including the award-winning first LEED Platinum home in the GTA.  I am a registered architect with the Ontario Association of Architects and a member of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada.
