My journey is a testament to my unwavering commitment to making a meaningful impact on the environment.I possess a solid foundation in geology and a deep-rooted passion for preserving and enhancing our natural world. Throughout my academic journey, I've continually honed my skills and cultivated a strong work ethic, positioning myself as a dedicated problem-solver.My graduate research, "Hydrologic Response to Prescribed Burning in the Flint Hills, KS," exemplifies my dedication to exploring innovative solutions in environmental science. This pilot study utilized cutting-edge tools like the VELAS hydrologic feedback model. What makes this research truly special is that it brought me full circle to the place where my geology journey began, in the Flint Hills.During my time at UMKC, I gained valuable experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, collaborating closely with professors to assist in advanced labs and teach an introductory lab course. Additionally, I contributed significantly as a Graduate Research Assistant on the project "Development of GIS-Based Watershed Need Classification," funded by FEMA, working alongside KC Water.I am now eager to embark on my next chapter and apply my knowledge and skills to drive positive change in the environmental field.
