The company was acquired in December 2011 by Glam Media.I was recruited by Marc Andreessen and Gina Bianchini as a result of my early experimentation with Ning’s original programmable platform for social applications, and became one of the two Product Managers hired at Ning to define, design and develop what became Ning’s flagship product, “Your Own Social Network for Anything” in February 2007. Within days of its launch, Ning had doubled its number of social applications, registered users and engagement and went on to grow exponentially to web scale in less than a year.
