I grew up in a small town in southern Idaho. During my teenage years I worked on a dairy farm. One cold January morning (it was about 20* below zero), I had an epiphany: I didn’t want to do this for the rest of my life! So I enrolled in college ultimately graduating with a master’s degree in accounting and computer science.Before I knew it, I was in southern California working for a small property management firm. When I joined we had 10K square feet of managed office space. Two and a half years later we were managing 1.2M square feet. That was my first taste of an entrepreneurial business, and I was hooked!Since then, I’ve launched and worked for seven entrepreneurial companies – two that went through IPOs and were very successful – three that were moderately successful and two that cratered.
