Middle West is an artist management firm founded on the acute quiet of Midwestern work ethic. Independently strong since 2007, Middle West is dedicated to fostering good music and the musicians who make it in the most professional and diverse of ways.Founded by Kyle Frenette on the strength and experience of Bon Iver, Middle West began as just an idea on how to structure a new type of artist management firm within the ever-changing landscape of the music industry.At its peak, Middle West maintained the careers of 30-plus artists spread across three satellite offices in the U.S. including Bon Iver, Sylvan Esso, Poliça, and American Football.

Pledge 46 (formerly 46 for 46) was a Political Action Committee and campaign that harnessed the power of music to help elect the 46th President of the United Staes in 2020 by increasing civic engagement among musicians and fans.Pledge 46 was initially meant to be a concert series (46 for 46) but pivoted to online activism and GOTV efforts due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The campaign focused on voting and political activism through online sweepstakes with musicians where music fans took various actions, like pledging to vote or volunteering on a political campaign, in order to enter to win an exclusive prize or one-of-a-kind experience from their favorite artists. A total of 25 artists participated over the course of six months, and in the end, Pledge 46 raised over $48,000, recruited 859 volunteers and had 24,170 fans pledge to vote.

Wild Waters Music Fest to Save The Boundary Waters happened on August 16, 2019 at Bayfront Festival Park in Duluth, MN. The concert brought together nine Minnesota-based musicians including Atmosphere, Doomtree, Cloud Cult, Low, among others, to amplify the fight to save the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (“BWCA”) from proposed sulfide-ore copper mining.I partnered with Live Nation and the Save The Boundary Waters campaign to build the event from the ground up. I was responsible for everything from securing the venue, booking the talent, branding and design, marketing, promotion, event coordination and production (*see Impact Report below).
