Kyle Frenette is a music industry executive, entrepreneur and musician with over 20 years of experience and best known for his work with Grammy-award winning artist Justin Vernon and his band Bon Iver. Frenette began his career in music as a teenager, playing in bands, recording and releasing his own music, and booking and promoting shows. While in college, Frenette founded Amble Down Records, a record label to cultivate and expose the emerging wealth of musical talent from northwestern Wisconsin where he grew up. Shortly thereafter, in 2007, he began managing Bon Iver. In the midst of the band's quick rise to success - which brought with it multiple Grammy Awards, sold-out worldwide tours, platinum selling albums, and high-profile collaborations with the likes of Kanye West and Peter Gabriel - Frenette founded Middle West, an independent artist management firm, which at its peak maintained the careers of 30-plus artists spread across three satellite offices in the U.S. In 2011, Frenette was included in 'Billboard' and 'Forbes'’ respective "30 Under 30" lists, representing 30 under 30 year old professionals making a mark in their respective industries.In 2018, Frenette briefly ran as a Democratic candidate for Congress in his home district, WI-07. He withdrew his candidacy in May of 2018 to focus on bridging the gap between the music industry, politics and activism. In 2019, Frenette founded Pledge 46, a campaign to increase voting and political engagement through music and spearheaded the Wild Waters Music Fest to Save The Boundary Waters in Duluth, MN.
