Scenarios included immediate shut down, and operating at full and reduced capacity. Permitted the facility for surface mining through the Georgia Department of Natural Resources. Obtained a $500K low interest loan which resulted in the facility being exempt from property taxes for ten years. • Purchased four existing sand mines located in Georgia and South Carolina. Performed due diligence on the mines including reviewing permits, financial statements, environmental issues, contractual/legal issues, and other items that arose during the process. Resolved reclamation issues with state agencies which saved over $2 million in costs.
