I am an accomplished corporate compliance specialist with experience researching and resolving regulatory and compliance matters with a focus in the financial services, insurance, pharmaceutical and textile industries. I have an extensive background in FINRA, Dodd-Frank and pharmaceutical manufacturing regulations, and have spent much of my career dealing with M&A and corporate governance due diligence compliance. Because of my securities background, I have trained attorneys in relevant derivatives concepts and regulations. I also represented individual entertainment and media clients with contract negotiation and licensing. As a law clerk, I served under the General Counsel of Aegis Media from 2008-2009, working extensively with its North American division's senior management. I designed and led top-to-bottom reviews of credit liability, securities compliance and business practices, and achieved a major shift in the firm's regulatory strategy by creating an online regulatory database to keep key senior managers informed. I also helped negotiate several overseas acquisitions, including projects in Greece, South Africa, and Malaysia. I also served with a Wall Street boutique firm specializing in affordable housing law, independently leading a $22 million development project on behalf of private developers and the City of New York.I am a graduate of Colby College and received my law degree from New York Law School, where I was an associate editor of the New York Law School Journal of Financial Services Law.
