About Kyle Hill
There is an inherent challenge in scaling of biomanufacturing that acts as a barrier; preventing potentially life-saving therapeutics from ever reaching the people they could save. As a scientist with a biomanufacturing CDMO startup I have gained nearly 3 years of intense process development and project management experience with a strong emphasis on recombinant protein design and downstream chromatography. My motivation to overcome these barriers is the belief that we're advancing novel therapies to the people they can treat while developing a cell-free expression platform that will change the way we imagine biomanufacturing. In my current role, I have successfully designed and executed simultaneous client collaborations, provided technical expertise for downstream process development, and supported troubleshooting activities throughout the entire process. As a startup biotech developing a cell-free biomanufacturing platform, we work closely with clients to design expression and purification strategies for molecules too challenging for conventional methods. In our bioprocess engineering lab I led internal development in filtration of complex lysates, and purification/formulation of biomolecules and nucleic acids for tech-transfer at the hundreds of liters scale. Concurrently balancing client projects in our research lab involving optimization of target molecule expression and purification at the microliter scale, I am confident in my ability to advance scalable processes. I'm basically living the fast-paced industry science life younger Kyle imagined when applying to grad school :)
Listed skills include Molecular Biology, Cell Culture, Pcr, Biochemistry, and 46 others.
