My work includes:- Feeding and providing water to animals at regular intervals throughout the day and assisted in grooming animals, sterilizing equipment and regularly cleaning examination areas- Handling and soothing animals during examinations, treatments, and vaccinations and aiding the veterinarians- End of Life Care and Aftercare Bagging

As an equine groom under the guidance of professional equestrian trainer, Leslie McCormick, I have acquired knowledge in the field of equine welfare and caretaking. As an equine groom, my responsibilities and roles included:- Handling and controlling horses (tacking up and untacking horses)- Mucking out stalls (stall cleaning and bedding: removing soiled bedding and manure, and maintaining a clean stall preventing equine thrush) and grooming horses (brushing coats, mane, and tail to remove debris, dirt, and tangled hair)- Following feed procedures catered to each individual horse and making sure horses have access to fresh water through specific feeding schedules and performing horse health maintenance procedures including bandaging up wounded legs and cleaning the bars on the feet of the horses
