As the lead Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) for the GMD Program, supervised contractor execution of the GMD Cybersecurity program for a $3.6B Development and Sustainment Contract (DSC) to ensure Cybersecurity was correctly defined, developed and implemented across 3000+ GMD systems and facilities, and received an MDA 3-Star award for DSC source selection efforts. Led a team of engineers and Cybersecurity analysts in the development of an Acquisition Strategy, Program Protection Plan (PPP), and Cybersecurity Program Plan, and maintained and/or updated the GMD Cybersecurity architecture and technical specifications to address both security and Cybersecurity requirements. Spearheaded the development of the Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) program, Software Assurance program and Cybersecurity Workforce Training Policy for the GMD program to increase acquisition security oversight as defined within the DoD Strategic Cybersecurity Goals. Led the GMD transition from DIACAP to the Risk Management Framework (RMF), as well as the maintenance of the GMD IT portfolio to ensure accurate program definition and FISMA reporting.

Served as the Communications and Technology Director for the Montessori School of Huntsville. Managed the design, development, installation and management of multiple Classified and Unclassified Local Area Networks, including designing the network architecture and leading the network installation of a 150,000 sq. ft. construction project and an upgrade of legacy facility networking equipment, performed classified and unclassified network management, developed IT solutions to support directorate goals, modernized the IT and network infrastructure and managed multiple network design and upgrade efforts.

As an Electronics Technician 2nd Class Petty Officer (ET2/SW) on the USS Thomas C. Hart (FF-1092), maintained and repaired Communications, COMSEC, Radar, Navigation and Data Processing systems. Earned the Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist (ESWS) qualification and was awarded the Southwest Asia Service Medal, Kuwait Liberation Medal and National Defense Service Medal for service during Operations Desert Shield / Desert Storm (1990-1991) and received an Honorable Discharge in Oct 1992.
