About Kyle Madison
My experiences in career and life have allowed me to travel the globe. Born and raised in Chicago, becoming a Southern transplant. Seeking life changing opportunities for myself, my family and my community around me. I have a deep passion for working with Youth who are seen as at-risk, low income families, refugees, single mothers, people who have substance abuse issues, and anyone wanting to have a conversation about faith and how it can change the world. I spent most of my early life working in the Restaurant Industry both front end and back of house. I worked as a Bouncer for 2 years. And have worked in the construction industry. I spent 5 years working in Camp Ministries. With Jobs that ranged from Counselor to Head Counselor, Outdoor Education Director to High and Low Ropes Instructor, and Assistant to the Program Director. I spent 4 years as a church Youth and Development Director. Working as a Youth Pastor to help lead Youth to a positive life's out come. I worked closely with the Boys and Girls Club that had a connection to the church I was the Youth Pastor at during this period of time. Developing and implementing programs that involved discipleship, personal and spiritual development, leadership training. During this period of time I worked close with two youth homes one boys home and one girls home, there I offered mentorship programs and transition programs to best help the youth move out of lock up and into a productive role in society. I have been a Senior Pastor and Executive Director for The Salvation Army for almost 7 years. With this position I work as a pastor and oversee all day to day operations of the church I work for. This includes Social Services, Fundraising, Advisory Board relations, Community Interaction, and general Finance. I have also had the task of being an Boys and Girls Club Director during this time, as well as running a Substance Abuse Program Director.My biggest passion in life is Camp Ministry. Everything about it brings me life. I believe fully that camp not only changes the campers life but can change the people employed at the camps life as well. I want to see the world radically changed one person, one neighborhood and one city at a time. I desire to live out the scripture of Isaiah 61. Career Break
In January of 23, my wife and I decided to pray about transitioning out of Salvation Army pastoral duties. It was one of the hardest decisions you’ve ever made. It had to be done for the health in the well-being of our family. There is a lot of nuances to being a Salvation Army Pastor that most people will never see. In June 2023 the day after Father’s Day was our first official day not as Salvation Army officers. I’ve actively been pursuing other career choices. But none of them have panned out. I know that God has ordained and called and predestined me to be in some form of vocational ministries. At this point, I believe that God is calling me to be in ministries. And I am waiting for the opportunity for that to happen. In the meantime, I’m seeking employment and resting and being a father. I’m seeking employment in any sort of nonprofit industry or in a place where I can help other people. It’s rough not being able to work. But I would rather not be able to work, then have a destroyed family. I believe that all pastors should take some form of long sabbatical. Or at the very least make sure they honor the sabbath and place their family before their job. Honestly I almost never honored the Sabbath and it truly had effect on my wife. I am currently searching for new opportunities in ministry, whether that being Camp ministry, youth ministry, student ministry, I just know God has called me to be in ministry.

My goals on are to grow the teens spiritual and to grow the group in numbers. I love to love people and share the gospel of love because it is great!
