As a placement student at the Pregnancy and Family Care Centre, my client based skills are building everyday. I am able to interact with clients and write up short casenotes for every client that visits the centre. I work as a team with the members of the centre to complete tasks and have worked independantly to complete assignments within the centre.

As a student in the Social Service Worker program at Loyalist College, my skills and awareness surrounding this field have grown largely. I am currently involved in a placement at the Pregnancy and Family Care Centre, which has given me exceptional practice and experience in working with clients. The Social Service Worker Program is very hands-on, and because of that we have had opportunities to build on our interviewing and counseling skills since we began the program.
