As senior financial analyst, I conduct financial reporting and analysis on revenue and expenses, communicating financial results to senior business partners for 8 Capital Markets products, including Mergers & Acquisition (M&A) businesses, Derivatives, and New Market Tax Credits (NMTC). Additionally, I independently built a Fully Loaded Profit & Loss (P&L) statement to help leadership understand the total cost of the Capital Markets business, which required collaboration with partner teams from across the company to understand how costs are allocated to Capital Markets.

As an associate in Commercial Tech Finance, I managed the budget for all of the technology costs (~$200MM) associated with the Commercial Bank. I conducted monthly financial reporting and analysis, reviewed expenses, and assisted in development of presentations to communicate financial results to senior business partners. I managed the change to a new financial reporting system, OneStream, where I established new and efficient processes for monthly reporting to 8 separate value streams, which decreased the lead time to get data to leaders. Regulatory Reporting at Capital One provides all of the required reporting to the Federal Reserve. As a part of this team, I was responsible for preparing a weekly balance sheet report to the Federal Reserve, which required me to engage with accounting business partners and research weekly variances to provide explanations to regulators. Additionally, I collaborated with Regulatory Reporting Leaders and our Federal Reserve contacts to reground variance analysis thresholds as Capital One's balance sheet behavior evolved throughout 2019 and 2020. On a quarterly basis, I reviewed 8-10 financial schedules consisting of raw data, financial statements, and data provided by other accounting groups to provide requested items to the Federal Reserve. Outside of reporting, I interpreted and applied rule changes in conjunction with subject matter experts while establishing sustainable and repeatable processes for future use.

As a part of Fortress Bank, I worked with commercial lenders to analyze the financial viability of current and prospective customers. I completed written memorandums consisting of customer narrative, financial analysis, and potential risks to the bank.
