I'm a Mechanical Engineering student at The University of British Columbia since 2018. Ever since my high-school robotics class, I've held a passion for engineering. When I joined UBC, it didn't take me long to figure out what aspects of Engineering I wanted to specialize in. I was accepted into the Mechanical Engineering program, and I've been refining my skills in computer-aided design ever since.I have five years of continued usage in SolidWorks. I learned SolidWorks in my first year, and I've been expanding my capabilities ever since. In my design team, UBC BAJA, I expanded my capabilities by learning:- SolidWorks Assemblies- SolidWorks Drawings- SolidWorks Finite Element Analysis (FEA)- SolidWorks Flow Simulation/Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)In my research position at MeridaLabs, I used SolidWorks and Finite Element Analysis to create a prototype model of our reactor, model the forces and pressures acting on it, and check the stress concentrations, modify the reactor, and reiterate tests to ensure there is no structural failure. I'm also the second authour on a review paper for MeridaLabs which had me researching numerous types of renewable and clean energy generation (mainly focusing on production of clean hydrogen), how the technologies work, and the advantages and disadvantages of each technology.
