Working in the Emerging Technology and Incubation group, I led the efforts to build Cloudflare’s first desktop enterprise grade SASE agent for all major operating systems. This 0 to 1 project, took the foundation laid by our privacy focused consumer 1.1.1.1 w/ WARP service, to build the client onramp for our brand new Zero Trust business. Working across sales, support, engineering, design, and marketing, I built an entirely new muscle in Cloudflare that within the first two years has allowed us to compete and win against industry giants in the Secure Web Gateway (SWG), Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA)) / VPN replacement space.

Working both as part of the Camera team and Applied Science Group, I helped turn world class research and technology into impactful experiences for Windows and Office. In turning AI research into software at scale, I also drove the hardware & software requirements for 3rd party SOC vendors (custom silicon, camera hardware, sensors, etc.).

Asked to join the Windows team responsible for core experiences (Shell) and understand, then fix, whatever was leading to women having an increased failure rate completing Settings tasks. Spoiler Alert: It had nothing to do with gender. Working with an amazing design and user research team, we made significant improvements to what is one of the most trafficked surfaces in Windows.

Envisioned and built out of the v1 of Microsoft Face & Iris recognition algorithms used to sign users into their device, first launched with Windows 10. This included everything from working with the security team on FIDO requirements, to building out camera hardware specifications for our first set of OEM/ODM partners, the initial user experience, and with our research teams to prove and productize our capabilities. During the launch of Windows 10 this was one of the key marque features, and one that quickly became an industry standard way of unlocking/accessing your device.

Our team was responsible for building facial expression (emotion) detection and other face related algorithms using our in house machine learning & computer vision techniques. As the sole PM my role encompassed all aspects of building a v1 product including software development. I successfully developed, and then helped execute, a product plan and partner integration strategy that allowed us to Ship in Xbox and Windows with key gaming and app partners. I was also responsible for all data collection efforts that included hiring and managing a 15 person labeling team, collection/tagging process and our machine leanring report/result infrastructure. It's a v1 - you do a lot of everything!
