Kyle develops original knitting patterns for yarn companies and publishing houses, and leads workshops across the country in a variety of knitting techniques, including his specialty, locked floats.

This position provides support for Radiology Outcomes Research Laboratory (RORL) Director and staff. Job responsibilities include managing Director’s calendar, scheduling meetings, coordinating travel arrangements, preparing expense reports, assisting the Director with CV updates and biosketches. In addition, the AA is responsible for paying invoices, submitting contracts for processing, processing check requests and travel vouchers, scheduling group meetings, preparing agendas and meeting minutes, and arranging for catering. The AA serves as the point of contact for all administrative office requests, and act as the liaison with IT, Facilities, Maintenance and other departments. They may also assist with various HR tasks, work on updating the group’s website, assist with compiling necessary documentation for grant submissions, and be involved in marketing and promotion of a large virtual educational symposium. Assistance with IRB applications and calculating continuing education credits may also be needed. The individual will work closely with the Outcomes Lab’s Director and staff to prioritize tasks and ensure the group’s operations run smoothly.

After moving to San Francisco in 2010 to work in HIV prevention and testing, Kyle completed 32 hours of Basic Counselor Training. He became certified as an HIV Risk Reduction Counselor in the state of California in 2011. His work in the HIV Counseling and Testing Program (HCAT) allowed the opportunity to work directly with the public to provide HIV testing and risk reduction counseling, disclose negative and preliminary positive HIV test results, and perform HCAT clerking duties: managing program paperwork and assisting in data entry for Client Information Forms for the California Department of Public Health. In 2013, Kyle was offered a career position with AHP, and worked as part of the Operations team, offering administrative support to the staff and clinicians offering services to the LGBTQ and HIV communities.
