Develop test cases and automated scripts to verify the software implementation is fully capable of robustly meeting system requirements for functional software and embedded controller On Board Diagnostics. Participate in strategic planning of software validation and plant release with suppliers, system engineers, release engineers, and project managers and provide observations to perform complex root cause analysis Troubleshoot, debug and solve controller and HIL setup software & hardware anomalies Perform circuit open, short to ground, short to battery, low voltage, high voltage, introduce resistance into circuit tests on powertrain sensors, actuators, and controllers to see how system reacts Maintain design validation and reports (DVPR’s) Raise software issues and defects in Powertrain Issue Tracking (PITS) database and provide strongly detailed technical explanations on the system requirement, testing procedure, vehicle configuration, hardware part numbers, software phase, and a CAN or VSR log of the data.
