About Kyle Lowery
Upon graduation from Tremont High School, I elected to attend the Milwaukee School of Engineering to receive a highly technical hands-on engineering degree. Majoring in Industrial Engineering, I was able to work on and lead real world projects involved in the automotive industry, high volume production lines, foundry, and in light metals machining. While attending MSOE I was extended an offer for a Manufacturing Engineering internship with Joy Global after my freshman year of studies. During my three year tenure at Joy Global I held several different roles underneath the title of "Manufacturing Engineer - Intern". I was able to gain experience as a tactical and strategic Manufacturing Engineer supporting large assembly, fabrication, plate burning, machining, automated welding, and manual welding of large complex technical product lines.In the fall of 2013 Joy Global elected to create a new department of Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, to support their production facilities world wide. I was extended the opportunity to be one of the founding members. During the next year and a half I gained experiences in project management of local, national, and international projects in supplier quality, supplier development, capital acquisition projects, and new factory feasibility analysis. Under this role I was also involved with intern development and hiring process.Before graduating from MSOE I elected to sign with my hometown company, Caterpillar Inc., supporting Dragline, Electric Rope, and Hydraulic Mining Shovel manufacturing.
