Worked in a lab setting where I manufactured and installed various components for a high-altitude combustion chamber test stand, such as strut, metal tubing, valves, electronics panels, and more.

Primarily worked in SolidWorks to design, prototype, and assemble direct connect scramjet flow path hardware on a wind tunnel. Used my knowledge of solid mechanics to perform structural analysis and ensure adequate factors of safety for all hardware, altering the hardware design as needed. Created test plans for scramjet engine components to ensure there are no leaks before the components are used on the tunnel.

Spent over 250 hours teaching myself Linux and LaTeX, becoming adept with both before beginning the actual research. Using that software, I then worked with PhD students in using state-of-the-art visualization software such as Paraview in order to research hypersonics, gas turbine combustion, and multiphase flows. Paraview was used for qualitative data that showed contours and streamlines, while LaTeX was used for quantitative 2D plots that showed the relationship between droplet diameter and location for ramjet combustors.

Performed daily maintenance on the golf courses, including walk mowing greens, raking sand bunkers, and blowing excess grass off of fairways.

Performed a wide variety of tasks, such as soldering circuit boards to be placed inside of IRAD test boxes, designing test procedures and flow charts for IR sensors for aircraft, following test procedures to ensure that every step was correct and nothing was missing, and researching different parts and their prices that will be used for test sets. I performed many types of tests, including thermal tests, continuity tests, and vibration tests, and then analyzed the data afterwards in order to ensure the parts meet requirements. I also repaired and soldered on new male and female connectors to large test cables so that they may be reused for many more tests.
