Ever since I was young I have been fascinated with learning about our big, beautiful world and the things in it, understanding how they work, and what makes them “tick”. As a researcher I am fascinated with the ability to creatively solve puzzles by combining science, theory, and hands-on testing to develop things that can help others live better lives. As a doctoral student at ASU I developed wearable sensor technologies to aid in providing asthmatics with early detection of health threatening conditions. Prior to grad school I was a researcher at a biotech startup that focused on the development of specialized electrically conductive polymer coatings for implantable medical devices to enhance their acceptance and effectiveness within the body. In my roles I have seen the importance of being willing to dig in and learn new areas in order to solve problems on my own – but I have also seen the importance and benefit of being able to work with, learn, and share ideas with a talented and experienced group of researchers. SPECIALTIES: Key Areas - Sensors, Electrode Materials, Thin Films, Coatings, Polymers, MOS, MEMS, Embedded Devices, IoT, Wearable Devices, Medical Devices.Instrumental Techniques - SEM, EDS, Microscopy, Metrology, Potentiostat, Universal Testing Machine, Instron, PVD, CVD, Plasma, Sessile Drop, DLS, GC, FTIR, UV-Vis, AAS, SIFT-MS, PID, CNC, 3D Printer.Programming & Statistical Analysis - Matlab, Python, R, LabVIEW, SPSS Statistics, DOE, Solidworks, CAD, Machine Learning, Image Processing, OpenCV, ImageJ, Comsol, Origin, DAQ.
