Kyle Patneau is a licensed architect with broad experience including healthcare, performing arts, adaptive reuse, K-12 and higher education, and mixed-use as well as award-winning office and commercial projects. Kyle approaches architecture as an exercise in problem-solving and an opportunity for learning and growth. His natural curiosity has made him a well-rounded architect with extensive knowledge of building systems and materials, building envelope design and construction means and methods. Kyle’s most recent work includes North Kansas City High School where he guided the project to the successful completion of a three wing addition and the renovation of the original 1920’s structure, reinvigorating the school for the next 100 years.At BNIM Kyle led the Building Information Modeling group (BIMCore), guiding the development of workflows and standards, and providing technical support and education to the firm. He actively mentored his colleagues and lent his experience and knowledge to project teams across our entire practice.Kyle is an active member of AIA Kansas City, having participated in the Pillars and PIERS programs, serving on the Pillars Steering Committee and co-chairing the Education Outreach Committee. He also designs and fabricates furniture, and was a member of the Arts Incubator from 2006 to 2011.To his peers, Kyle is a mentor across all disciplines. To his clients, he is a creative, knowledgeable, “calm in the storm” project leader.Kyle graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Architecture degree in 2003. A licensed architect in the states of Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, and Wisconsin and certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, Kyle has worked on numerous projects throughout the United States.
