Responsible for planning, managing and execution of the development of Westport injector products and technologies.Lead a cross functional team through the product development activities and into production. Accountable for all aspects of the product; technical (product, process), timing and product cost.Create and manage the strategic product roadmap for Westport's fuel injectors. Lead the development of technologies that are critical to that roadmap. Lead projects with new and strategic customers to ensure they are provided with the appropriate technology for their application, and ensure that any lessons learned are applied back to the product roadmap.

Responsible for planning, management and execution of DVP&R of new HPDI injector product in development-Building work breakdown structures (WBS) for new products-Create design verification plan to address all product requirements-Compose test specifications-Compose technical reports, including test reports, inspection reports and failure reports-Advise on and support the development of a test result database to improve data access-Perform detailed inspections of components at beginning of life as well as at end of life.-Identify new testing needs, identify testing requirements to support development activities. Develop test rig specifications and oversee the implementation and commissioning of the new test resource.-Provide the testing group feedback and suggestions for improvements and upgrades to test rigs and measurement capabilities-Develop test fixture design requirements and oversee the design, review and approve drawings, oversee procurement and implementation of test fixtures required for development activities.-Participate in high level product development meetings, including DFMEA reviews, design reviews, FRACAS solution reviews and decisionsPreviously was a module owner of a previous heavy duty HPDI fuel injector product-Responsible for completion of DVP&R and all other engineering activities related to this product-Manage my allocated engineering resources to complete engineering activities related to this product on time and on budget-Responsible for creation and maintenance of DFMEA-Compose product specifications-FRACAS/ FIRG, 7-step problem solving-Working jointly with suppliers, strategic partners and the supplier development group in order to update component designs based on manufacturing feedback-Participate in interviewing applicants interested in positions in the injector development teamPrevious experience with managing test resources on a day to day basis

Developed data analysis tools to standardize data processing methods and help evaluate data more efficiently.Designed test fixtures in Pro/Engineer and coordinate their manufacture internally or with an external vendor.Responsible for items on the product DVP&R; wrote test specifications, coordinated testing and reported on the results.Coordinated end of life inspection and characterization of key endurance test components. Developed processes and standards for end of life inspections. Performed basic root cause inspection and analysis of components.
