Main Responsibilities include – • Providing staff coverage for all train services on the East Midlands rail network. Ensuring Drivers, Train Managers, Senior Conductors and Catering crews are allocated to every train service in order to provide a punctual and reliable train service to the travelling public.• Leading and managing staff that are displaced due to disruption and creating and instigating strategic plans to recover the train service to a normal state.• Reporting resourcing levels to the wider business and highlighting risks and working with the relevant departments to mitigate those risks. • Analysing and investigating delays and cancellations, and coming up with solutions and changes in working to ensure these are not repeated to improve overall business performance.• Building close working relationships with staff, and providing first level chain of care to those who have suffered trauma (fatalities etc.)• Monitor and maintain the fatigue levels of staff ensuring they adhere to guidelines set out by RSSB.• Work closely with operational teams around the business to ensure safe operations at all times.• Provide comprehensive training plans alongside EMRs business plan to ensure all resources are fully competent in the routes and traction they need to know.• Ensure any rostering gaps are filled and investigated fully.• Promote a culture of diversity within the business.• Manage safety critical notices within my depot.
