Have you ever had a project or goal that, once completed, you felt this inexplicable rush? Maybe you call it pride, joy or even success. For me, that is what every client interaction feels like. Every welcome, every client I assist, every concern I’ve worked to resolve - they reaffirm my passion and dedication to working in fields that allow that passion to shine. That standard comes from a great dedication to each client by ensuring that either myself or a member of the team will be there to bring the client successfully through a given client experience journey. While providing service is at my core I have been given opportunities to build upon my leadership skills through positions in which I coach and mentor colleagues. It is in these roles that I help instill confidence in my colleagues to resolve client concerns. By empowering them to be confident in their skillset it allows them to provide their personal touch on their service and create a memorable experience for their clients. Often noted as “contagious”, a positive and passionate approach has consistently delivered high morale and low turnover. Building a workplace environment around trust and empowerment has always been a successful foundation for my training and hiring experiences. Whether it be a boutique property, a historical 1300 room luxury location, movie theatre, or even a start-up growing its service team from the ground up; I find myself thriving in each scenario. This is largely driven by my desire to be in fast-paced environments that require me to adapt my skillset. Moreover, each role has illustrated how my abilities transcend the hotel industry and successfully use them in any client-facing role. Being skilled in hospitality means knowing how to read your client and passionately and successfully deliver them to the companies desired goal.
