SURF is a service providing collaborative for technical innovation and research for higher education and research.Embedded in the Research Services department at SURF, I advise scientists on storage options for their research data, and enable them to make their data FAIR, and to practice Open Science. I directly support the following two SURF services:1. SURF's Data Archive, a tape storage library allowing researchers to store large research data on the long-term2. SURF's Data Repository, a platform for publication of large research datasetsIn addition to these services built and maintained by SURF, I work on two projects which are part of a big-scale effort by European member states to deliver the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC):1. FAIRCORE4EOSC, which will develop nine new EOSC-Core components aimed to improve the discoverability and interoperability of an increased amount of research outputs (https://faircore4eosc.eu/)2. FAIR-IMPACT, which supports the implementation of FAIR-enabling practices, tools and services across scientific communities at a European, national and institutional level (https://fair-impact.eu/)About the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC):The EOSC is a trusted, virtual, federated environment that cuts across borders and scientific disciplines to store, share, process and reuse research digital objects (like publications, data, and software) that are Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable (FAIR).
