Grassroots solutions intern responsibilities fall into three primary categories:• Administration & Data Management:Organizing, filing, and maintaining training materials (in paper and electronic formats); Working to create an archive system for past and present project files; Assembling training and presentation materials; Helping to implement a new database coding system; Providing data quality control; Inputting data gathered from research.• Marketing & ResearchPutting together marketing packets and keeping stock of brochures and inserts; Writing drafts of content for the web site; Drafting phone scripts for client projects; Researching issues, candidates, races nationwide; Reading articles and publications to extract information about marketing events or issues.• OrganizingTurnout phone calls for events, phone bank coordination, volunteer recruitment, and assistance with logistics for events.

My duties include data collection and data entry for the several research projects headed by trauma department doctors and surgeons who are preparing for publication in academic journals. The skills used include thorough reading of dense and highly technical medical charts and recording the information relevant to the study, extensive use of Microsoft Excel, the ability to focus on both repetitive and engaging tasks, as well as a strict confidentiality with regard to the information encountered.

Developed the curriculum for the 10th and 11th grade advanced English language classes, as well as planning and administering daily classes on a hectic and often changing schedule. In addition, I maintained a close advisory relationship with high school students as they prepared to apply for college/university. This involved providing feedback on performance, advising their college search, assisting in their application essays, and writing letters of recommendation.
