Experience included:- leading role in a quasi in-house capacity for a major retail bank, dealing directly with stakeholders and advising on various retail and consumer finance litigation cases. Defending and bringing claims in areas such as fraud; payment services; credit reference agency disputes; asset finance; debt recovery; section 75 CCA; account conduct/mandate issues; and mistaken payments (amongst others). I am an Associate in the Financial Services Disputes and Investigations team and Financial Institutions Group.I specialise in professional negligence claims on behalf of financial institutions, against surveyors and solicitors, in both a commercial and residential context; debt recovery litigation; strategic advice arising from section 75 claims; and more general financial services disputes for lending clients. I continue to work very closely with a client's in-house legal team, as well as dealing directly with various business stakeholders, to assist with bringing and defending claims in areas such as debt recovery, fraud, mistaken payments and Consumer Credit Act claims. I have previously been seconded to a client to assist with the review and identification of viable claims, with the ultimate aim of improving its commercial lending recoveries.
