Michaels Student Management On-Campus
CurrentUniversity Relations: My responsibilities include creating the operations sections for RFPs, including proforma, staffing, responsibility matrices, etc., either for turnkey or shared governance management proposals (typically accompanying development proposals, as well). I also represent Michaels Student Management Operations during visual presentations (virtual and in-person). Operations: As an Area Manager I oversee multiple sites either currently in operation or in the construction and/or development stages including a 1,413 bed, 330,000 square feet state of the art residence hall with an annual $14M budget with an anticipated additional construction and management phase. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; develop and propose annual operating budget and capital expenses plan; oversee payables and provide monthly and as-needed information and reports to financial partner(s) to ensure compliance with third party agreement, ground lease, and audits; collaborate with relevant Institutional departments for summer planning and use; serve as liaison for institution's Housing, and, Conference and Event Services departments. Supervisory responsibilities include directly supervising one full-time Facilities Manager, and oversee the supervision of 12 professional housekeepers, 3 professional porters, 2 professional maintenance technicians, 2 mail-room clerks, and 1 painter. I serve as a resource for our asset manager and financial partners with business insights, month-end and year-end reconciliations, explanation of variances, and audit reporting.Awards: As a result of my contributions, I was selected to the prestigious TMO Leadership Development Program (12 employees selected out of 2,200) (in 2020) and was recently awarded TMO’s Diversity Equity and Inclusion award for 2021.
