Kyle was a SCADA solutions consultant staffed at a mid-stream, crude oil pipeline client. Through this role, Kyle assisted his client with an RFP bid which assessed the current landscape of SCADA vendors and selected the SCADA vendor that best aligned with the client's organizational goals. During this project, Kyle performed the following tasks:• Researched and identified 10 SCADA vendors that matched the client’s organizational and industry needs• Led discovery meetings with SCADA vendors to understand how the vendor’s offerings would benefit the client’s operations• Provided detailed analysis of each SCADA vendor to client leadership to identify formal RFP bid candidates• Wrote an RFP invitation and guided invited SCADA vendors through the RFP process• Assessed RFP responses and developed a scoring matrix to rank SCADA vendors according to the client’s organizational goals• Guided the contract negotiation process with the selected vendor to help the client and vendor obtain the best working relationship for the contracted services

As a SCADA implementation consultant, Kyle helped to implement a new EMS (Energy Management System) SCADA application to control an electric utility client's field assets. Kyle's assignments and tasks completed throughout the project include:• Managed 20+ client SMEs on the SCADA, Database, and User Interface (UI) project workstreams• Created project go-live plan and hypercare documentation for use during the project’s implementation phase• Designed and managed SCADA end-to-end testing strategy to validate 1,400+ remote terminal units (RTUs)• Addressed status, analog, and control defects found during SCADA end-to-end (RTU) testing• Developed data conversion strategy to validate the client’s database transformation to the new SCADA system• Wrote SQL comparison scripts to validate SCADA and RTU data conversions from the legacy SCADA system• Led design workshops between client and vendor resources to gather requirements for plan and design documentation

As an Oracle Customer Care and Billing (CC&B) consultant, Kyle developed reports using PL/SQL for the Measurement, Revenue Management (Billing), Market Operations, and Customer Service departments of the client. Kyle gained experience in SQL development, Cognos reporting, CAWA scheduling, requirements gathering, code migration, and Oracle CC&B software. Kyle's assignments and tasks completed throughout the project include:• Interfaced with Legal, Market Ops, and Rev. Mgt. As a security consultant, Kyle helped implement IT solutions for a client in the utility industry. Projects provided Kyle with experience in cyber security, physical security, hardware implementation, and software implementation. While working in China with The Marco Company, Kyle and his team were tasked with the goal of outsourcing the manufacturing of parts to China and developing a business plan for one of Marco's recent acquisitions.
