I manage the finances of the boys bottoms and active wear category group by:- partnering with the category buyer to build seasonal plans for the apparel category group (program-specific plans by week for sales, inventory management, store shipments and replenishment timing, profit margin, gross profit and markdowns for over 4200 stores),- providing accurate financial information (sales, shipments, inventory, margin, profit, etc.) to the merchant teams to drive appropriate action,- insuring that assortment decisions are aligned with the category's financial plans,- managing store receipts and markdowns effectively to maximize sales and profit,- maintaining the category's P&L,- providing a financial roadmap for future months and seasons to achieve department goals,- collaborating with a cross-functional team to drive results for the company,- partnering with the replenishment manager to plan, analyze and maintain store and DC inventory levels,- conducting relevant research about apparel and retail industry trends,- participating in store tours to audit and ensure proper merchandise execution,- and providing financial reports, summaries and analyses to leadership to help facilitate informed financial and merchandise decisions.

I ran the Rosetta Stone kiosk at a local mall, sold Rosetta Stone products, gave software demos to potential customers and answered any questions they had, and reached out to groups and businesses which may be interested in the product.

I managed and updated the member and donor database, did outreach to contact new groups to inform them about upcoming events, did relevant research on Japanese corporate trends, performed general office duties, and helped to organize events, lectures, and luncheons.
