Achievements:-Extensive work with computer vision integrating touchless control of LMM layout selection for 8MP monitors as well as researched and developed code to implement touchless control of PACS systems and video routing. Also developed the user interface for touchless control. Demonstrated at AORN Surgical Conference 2014 in Chicago.-Took on a DevOps role, coding Chef cookbooks and deployment scripts to provision and deploy servers ( ability to construct vm's for development, construct sandbox vm's for support, and also deploy directly to hardware for production). -Coded extensive system test suite with Rspec that would dynamically test internal configurations and external hardware (secondary servers, IP cameras, serial controlled devices, the BDV video router, audio mixers, etc.) based on features enabled in the Ruby on Rails webapp. In addition to promoting behavior driven development, the test suite was also designed and used for support to do ~15 mins of diagnostics in ~5 seconds (180x faster).-Managed retrofit of old usb KVM switching solution with new USB-X, IP-based USB switching device. This included scheduling with hospitals, scheduling of internal resources, contributing to internal procurement discussions, creating diagrams and documentation for installers and end users, debugging the product, collaborating on code to automate testing and deployment, collaborating on testing new firmware and software related, acted as escalated support for the device.
