I first began work literally two days after I turned fifteen years old. Ever since, I have been working part-time jobs, including ones in management and also an awesome internship with Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Columbus. All of these have helped - and are still helping me to prepare for the "real world."I worked at Bruster's Ice Cream in Salem, Ohio, for over five years. The Salem store is just 45 minutes away from the corporate headquarters in Bridgewater, Pennsylvania, and our store was one of five that are training stores for those opening a new franchise. I was a crew leader/assistant manager at the age of 17 and also was involved in local marketing to gain experience in the field.I then was hired at Staples in Alliance, Ohio, as the Head Furniture Sales Associate. I am primarily responsible for what goes on in the office furniture department, including building and replenishing furniture, assisting customers, knowing the products, placing online and catalog orders, and also working in other departments besides my own, including Office Supplies, Electronics, Copy & Print Center, and Cash Register.Currently, Dunham's Sports in Alliance, Ohio is where I work as a key holding manager and department coordinator. It is really helping me develop, particularly in the areas of resposibility, discipline, and leadership.I am a full-time student at Mount Union College in Alliance, a private, liberal-arts college which is actually known for its business program(s), particularly accounting and marketing.I have many goals for the future; I'm planning on relocating to the Columbus area upon graduation, where I hope to be employed in the marketing/advertising field for a main corporation or solutions group.
