Responsible for ensuring daily operations, repairs and new construction were conducted in a safe efficient and cost effective manner for Occidental Midstream Corporation's - West Region of Centurion Pipeline. Ensure safety is of the highest priority to all employees and contractors of the West Region. Conduct all aspects of operations within federal, state, local, and company regulations. Perform inspections and on-site audits of day-to-day pipeline field operations as well as new construction sites and projects. Utilize TAPROOT with the Corporate HSE team for the investigation of incidents, injuries, and near misses in the West Region as well as the composition and distribution of said reports. Ensure proper remediation of all spill/leak sites were completed according to all regional, state and national codes and/or policies. Preview, rewrite and approve all policies as well as state and federal required permits as needed. Consult with project manager's and engineers on pipeline and new facility operations to ensure operational and safety requirements were achieved or exceeded. Direct Oxy/Centurion orientations, contractor meetings, as well as weekly operations meetings, safety meetings and yearly training.

– Worked with Oxy employees and contractors to ensure job safety was achieved at all times on all jobs. Provided monthly continuing education to employees on Oxy safe-work systems to ensure the implementation of new safety requirements on future jobs. Performed impromptu on-site audits of employees and contractors to confirm each individual maintained proper training and certificates for the job being performed. Audited and constructed reports on any accidents or near misses to aid in determining the root cause of each event. Consulted with Oxy employees and contractors on implementing new safety programs to aid in eliminating potential hazards. Wrote safety permits, when required, and acted as an on-site safety and rescue responder when high-risk work was being performed. Completed monthly PPE inspections of Oxy Permian employees and facilities including First Aid, SCBA’s, Fire Extinguishers, Smoke and Carbon Sensors, Emergency Lighting, Fall Protection, H2S monitors, Eye Wash Stations and AED’s.
