Park City & Heber Valley Hospitals

In this role, I directly lead two hospitals, Park City Medical Center & Heber Valley Hospital. Consisting of 42 Caregivers and two Supervisors in Front-End Patient Registration. Overseeing hospital based revenue operations and performance indicators. Challenges have included, reducing burnout, driving positive culture, meeting performance metrics and training Supervisors to cultivate an engaging servant leadership style.

I had the great opportunity in being the steward over 17 caregivers in front-end registration. Mainly serving the Emergency & Radiology department. Let many process initiatives including trauma check-ins, COVID-19 response & the introduction to new EMR technology programs. Was instrumental in establishing practices to meet facility metrics and drive our Caregiver engagement score.

As the first Training Specialist at Logan Regional Hospital, I was accountable for the training of New-Hires and seasoned Caregivers in Registration practices. This helped me gain key communication lessons that aided in leadership conversations. Was instrumental in developing system wide training standards and aided in the success of new-hire retention. Within this position, I gained tremendous experience in interviewing candidates and motivating others to be more engaged and focused on what matters most, patients.

Logan Cancer Center

In this role, I provided a liasion for the provider to insurance companies to authorize patient therapy. I regularly counseled patients regarding financial costs due to the impact of high dollar therapy. Such a valuable opportunity for me to see how patients are effected by Cancer and how to find solutions to make their financial situation stress free. I worked actively with Providers and networked with Pharmacology Reps in coordinating cancer therapies and funding.

Here I was introduced to my first role in Healthcare, such a rewarding experience. I learned to see the Front-End Registration challenges and what challenges patients have accessing Healthcare. I contributed to the overall team's performance metrics and worked with department leads in establishing best practices.
