I am a lifelong learner, passionate about solving technical problems. My current work involves leveraging over 10 years of technical troubleshooting and 6 years of manufacturing experience to create solutions and keep equipment running in a Semiconductor fabrication plant. While this is a highly rewarding and enjoyable field, I have been pursuing an Electrical Engineering degree in order to move into a more technical and professional role. My career started with joining the United States Navy immediately out of High School, where I tested into the Nuclear Power Training Command to become a Submarine Electrician for 6 years. I quickly finished a Bachelor of Arts degree upon my completion of service and began a new career in Semiconductor manufacturing at Broadcom (formerly Avago/HP) in 2015. Immediately, my Electrical Engineering course of study began that fall of 2015. While performing at a high level in my field, full time, I have completed the course work for the EE program and have worked on a myriad of engineering projects with a variety of team members. I enjoyed the core catalog of the electrical engineering degree, and decided to focus on circuits, system integration, and electromagnetics in my undergraduate technical electives. In the summer of 2018 Dr. Thomas Chen invited me to join his Senior Design team, and I worked diligently to complete a data acquisition PCB and served as team lead for 2 mechanical engineers and 3 other electrical engineers to integrate microfluidics chamber, PCB, and GUI design. Our team completed a working prototype and were awarded first place in Electrical and Computer Engineering in the 2019 Senior Design Showcase. I continued taking 500 level technical electives and rejoined Dr. Chen’s lab group to mentor incoming seniors, design circuit boards and develop a GUI for various projects in the BLISS labs at CSU. My graduation will be December of this year.I am a maker and problem solver. There is little I enjoy more than that feeling after spending days on a vexing problem, and then it works. My current goal is to use my degree and professional experience to collaborate with a team to build something out of this world.
