As an Assistant Project Manager (APM) he was responsible for construction operations such as budget development, scheduling, subcontractor/vendor and material procurement. The unique structure of the company provided the opportunity to work collaboratively with Unispace's in-house design team. Kyle took full advantage of this, further developing critical pre-construction skills such as value engineering and constructability/feasility analyses.During his time as an APM, Kyle also acted as a Site Manager. The role of a Site Manager at Unispace closely resembles that of a Superintendent at traditional general contracting firms. In this position Kyle was responsible for daily job supervision, site safety, and coordination with property management.
