Gulf Distributing Holdings LLC is one of the largest beverage distributors in Alabama. I began working at Gulf at the beginning of 2022. I was hired on as a merchandiser for the Gadsden/ Rainbow City area. This area covered five different stores. After working the Gadsden route for almost a year, I was promoted to my current role as Senior Merchandiser. As Senior Merchandiser, I am responsible for ensuring all large format stores under the Alexandria branch are fully serviced by our team of merchandisers. I also have experience as a sales representative as well as warehouse operations. My role at Gulf Distributing has allowed me to learn many different aspects of the business and has challenged me to deal with multiple tasks as they are presented to me. This has made me a very versatile employee that can assist in various areas of the day to day operations with ease.

I joined the Alabama Army National Guard in April 2016, a month before I graduated high school. I have a heavy military influence throughout my immediate and extended family that nudged me toward enlisting. I have learned many valuable skills and lessons that I will take with me and apply to any position I find myself in life. During my military career, I have been in various roles that have tested my abilities to be a valuable student, leader and mentor to many soldiers. My career in the army has led me to exciting places such as Kuwait, Iraq, Ireland, Bulgaria and various different states within the United States. I am currently serving as a Team Leader for the 1166th Military Police company. My role as Team Leader has put me in charge of mentoring and leading service members to be the best possible version of themselves for the U.S. Army, their communities and their families.

Cooter Brown’s Rib Shack is a Jacksonville, AL staple that has been owned and operated by my parents for over 24 years. I worked as a dishwasher and cook during highschool from 2014-2015. I also worked here after I got back home from my deployment to Kuwait and Iraq in 2021. During that time I worked as an assistant manager. I counted inventory, received orders from multiple vendors and assisted with the overall day to day operations.

Auburn, Alabama Area

Bourbon Street Bistro was a very popular bar nestled in the heart of Auburn, AL. It was located directly on Toomer’s corner. I started working there after I began classes at Southern Union community college in Opelika, AL back in 2017. I began as security and quickly moved into an assistant manager role in less than two years. I was responsible for opening and closing the business as well as overseeing the day to day operations. While being in this position, I was in charge of up to 25 employees and was trusted to ensure the business, employees and patrons had a safe and enjoyable experience. Bourbon Street Bistro closed its door back in 2021.
