At home in Squamish, BC ("outdoor sports capital of Canada") we have some of the best kiteboarding, skiing and mountain biking in North America, making for excellent work/life balance and a source of inspiration. I am excited about technology, entrepreneurship, startups, culture, marketing, and product. In my spare time, I mostly enjoy spending time with my wife & daughter.---- At Tsunami, I am focused on the strategic growth and direction of the company as a whole, while developing new product and market opportunities. I rarely wear a suit, and often work barefoot. My goal is to grow our companies & products in a positive and sustainable way, while helping to foster an empowering and innovative culture. And maybe freeing up some time to go surfing. ----At Mustered, I'm building something new. I have always had a clear vision for myself: true work/life balance. But not for just balance alone, but success in both. Harmony, in fact. As an exec, an outdoor sports enthusiast, and a husband and father, that dream looked something like this: a successful company hitting targets, doing cool things with a stoked team, along with the time and flexibility to be on the mountain for the perfect pow day or in the surf when the swells and tides align, while coming home to be with family often. That's hard to juggle.I was continuously running careful mental calculations of all the factors in all the parts of life, so I could try to do the right things at the right time, right place, and right way. I needed to really pay attention to myself, muster together all of my past successes and failures, look for habits, and make choices based on that in a very deliberate way. That's a huge mental burden. With COVID changing the world, what it means to have a successful and satisfying work environment is also changing. People now suddenly have the flexibility to set their own schedules. The problem is that nobody knows how; or that they even should be able to have true work and life harmony. Everyone now has the same problem I've been trying to solve for myself thrust to the front stage. And so we are creating Mustered. By mustering together learnings about how people live and work, and how their wellness relates, it will understand their habits to help set their schedules up for the successes they want. By doing the right things at the right times, and in the right ways, Mustered will allow people to find the harmony of work and life that allows them to take back their time.
