Activities included:• converting relational plan-configuration data from a complex legacy system (PBD) into an enterprise canonical model in XML• wrapping the PBD legacy system in granular web-services to expose low-level data to the enterprise• providing a web-service aggregator to express it as a comprehensive XML schema • conducting package selection for PDF software from both commercial and open-source solutions• learning and then subsequently teaching our dev team the native manipulation of XML into PDFs using Altova StyleVision

I had the opportunity learn the fundamentals of working with local and remote resources, both employees and offshore consultants, to help provide a high-stability product with remarkably low incidence of defects. This was a great experience for me, as I became skilled at working on a large distributed development team delivering mission-critical functionality and substantial integration with downstream systems.
