I plan, prioritize, and manage projects, personnel, and facilities overseeing the operation from the design through the production life cycle phases. I continually explore new capabilities to assess their application and feasibility in supporting the requirements of the warfighter. I am responsible for the evaluation and implementation of emerging engineering and science technologies to meet the evolving needs of the Navy.I represent NAVAIR as an expert consultant on matters pertaining to AM and DDM. I act as a liaison across NAVAIR, maintaining contact with Systems Commands and Fleet users of AM technology up to and including Flag Level exercising significant responsibility in dealing with officials of other competencies to identify and implement ways to eliminate or reduce significant bottlenecks and barriers to meeting goals and objectives. I work directly with SMEs at other commands, competencies, contractors, fleet operators/technicians, and sponsor groups at headquarters offices to discuss and resolve difficult and precedent-setting problems and provide expert advice. I am a key member of the National AM/DT IPT responsible for the implementation, execution, qualification, and standardization of the AM process and its application within the DON.I represent NAVAIR on a variety of DOD policy-making, work package creation, and standards developing organizations.
