Manage the analytical and organic synthesis groups in R&D for Semiconductor Solutions. Our team supports the R&D functions of various product segments in the semiconductor industry through the synthesis of novel plating additives and electroplating metrology efforts. This is focused on projects in wafer leveler packaging (bumps, pillars, vias, and redistribution layer plating), copper and cobalt damascene (leading edge nodes <10nm), and electrodeposition of other metals such as tin, tin alloys, and nickel. I manage activities from ideation, new product development, and transition to high volume manufacturing. I am also responsible for the coordination of all intellectual property activities within the Semiconductor Solutions group.

-Designed and synthesized new additives for copper electroplating in the area of next generation copper damascene, various wafer level packaging applications, and printed circuit boards.-Aided in the scale up of new additives in anticipation of commercialization, including obtaining new IP, and meeting all regulatory requirements.

-Categorically mapped out our synthetic copper plating additives to then synthesize new compounds that filled out the scope of our intellectual property space. This gave us a better fundamental learning of trends between our additives and various copper electroplating applications.-Designed and formulated various additive packages for copper electroplating applications on copper damascene and wafer level packing structures.-Worked with our Pilot lab for scale up applications of synthetic additives in preparation of commercialization.-Helped generate new intellectual property based on R&D discoveries for copper electrodeposition.
