I am a software engineer with a background 
in design. I have full stack experience, with skills in the backend and frontend, and a focus on creating functional, maintainable, and user-friendly software. I work with a great team at Roster-5 Software solving technical challenges daily, while learning new languages, technologies, and processes that improve the software that I build and the code that I write. I am well versed in working within an Agile environment, development using JS/Java/Python/Go/more, interacting with the AWS infrastructure and the Atlassian suite, setting up applications to run via Helm/Kubernetes/Docker, following test-driven-development practices with unit tests, integration tests, and E2E testing tools in an automated CI/CD environment.I’m passionate about user-friendly design and development, making purposeful decisions that keep accessibility in mind. Having worked for years in the retail customer service space, I have developed skills in listening to and understanding customer concerns and influencing a positive resolution to their problems. I have been able to translate this skillset directly to client needs with software design and development, ensuring that user experience needs, accessibility requirements, and functional goals are met. I regularly work in a mixture of solo and collaborative team environments and am known to bring a bright, creative and positive influence to a team’s culture.
