Oversee and manage the implementation and execution of USTA Texas marketing and communications as we work to help grow and engage the tennis community throughout Texas. This includes graphic design, pubic relations, social media strategy, and lots of other great stuff!

Performed the following as Graduate Teaching Assistant:Journalism 1010 - Introduction to Media Writing- Standalone instructor for introductory journalism writing course. - Subjects covered includee: AP Style, media ethics, journalism writing, story structure and interviewing. Also reviews of critical media assessment, story generation and editing workshops. Wrote dynamic and engaging advertising copy for a variety of companies including information for promotions, partnerships and other customer-related information. My contributions researching relevant information related to copy for both to-customer e-mails as well as event/promotion landing pages.

By working with advertisers and researching the latest trends in a variety of industries, I worked to gather relevant information and write dynamic copy for small business websites. I also contributed to creating unique and appropriate website layouts, designs and formats for the advertisers.

Editor for the student newspaper of Mississippi State University

Discovering, organizing and assigning news stories for The Reflector's News section. Design and layout the front page of a newspaper which serves the Mississippi State/Starkville, Miss. area with a readership of over 12,000.

Maintained Payroll for The Reflector's staff of editors and writers. Maintained newspaper deadline, and advised section editors in regards to a variety of issues including article selection, editing, and page design. Helped implement an increased use of mixed media technology at the newspaper including the increased usage of micro blogging and podcasting.

Served as the Arts and entertainment editor for The Reflector, whose circulation is in excess of 12,000. Discovered and assigned entertainment stories and features about: local and nationally recognized musical acts, cuisine, local theatre performances, art galleries and shows, album and movie reviews as well as other features.

As a news writer I was responsible for researching, investigating and reporting news stories on a variety of subjects and fields. These stories included political, feature and investigative stories.

I worked in the communcation hub of a regional medical center. My responsibilities included directing phone calls, contacting surgical and other specialized medical teams and serving as a patient/visitor liaison.
