I am a sophomore in the Haslam College of Business at The University of Tennesee,Knoxville and I am working toward a Bachelor of Science degree with majors in Marketing andFinance. I have always been very driven, and determined, and I always follow through oncommitments I make. In my current studies at UTK, I have done my very best to completeassignments and tasks to my fullest capability. I go to great lengths to put complete effort intomy studies, and that is reflected in my academic record. I am very communicative and I enjoyengaging with others. In my current childcare position with the YMCA, I am asked to properlyand effectively communicate with children and parental concerns daily. I meet these expectationsand even surpass them through communication skills and professionalism in the way I speak.Relationship building and professionalism are also strengths of mine. As a member of aprofessional business fraternity, Delta Sigma Pi, I am held to a higher standard ofprofessionalism in the way I speak and in the way I carry myself. I have stepped outside of mycomfort zone to form new relationships with like-minded, professional people, and I havedeepened relationships that had already been formed.My career goal is to work in the marketing industry, with a focus on social mediamarketing and graphic design for well-known brands. I’m very intrigued by the area ofmarketing, and the new advancements this field exhibits every day. There has been so muchgrowth in this industry over the years, and this growth is something I would love to contribute toand be a part of. I would also like to bring about a correlation between my passion forphotography and the social media marketing field. Alongside this, I would like to use myfinancial knowledge and capabilities to start up or work alongside a non-profit organization. Iwould like to make a significant impact on the organizational growth, while also pursuing anotherone of my passions, community outreach and involvement. While providing financial insight tothe organization, I would also love to exhibit marketing skills and contribute to a growth incommunity engagement.
