As a server at The Other Place in Clive I am expected to know the menu and our specials. We use the handheld Toast system and I have gotten to know that and how to work that. I greet my tables, take their orders, run my food and drinks, check the tables out, then we bus our own tables. I typically have a 5-8 table section and I can handle that very well. I do plan to stay here.

As a customer service representative I am the line of communication to the customer. I sell the goods we provide in store while making sure the customer leaves happy. I answer phones regarding questions about what we sell, hours, ordering specific items, or the grooming services we provide. Upon closing I make sure the store looks clean, the shelves are stocked, and all the money is accounted for.

As an assistant manager I provided direct assistance to my staff and reported to my higher-ups. I would oversee day-to-day operations, provided feedback to my staff, helped with scheduling, and managed daily profits while in-putting them in the spreadsheet. I am responsible for the store running smoothly. I handle any customer complaints, money, and the scheduled staff. I am on the line daily working alongside my staff. I take orders, make coffee and/or food, and I handle money.

As a home mortgage customer service rep, I would answer incoming calls regarding questions about their mortgage payments, due dates, or making a payment. The customer would give me bank account numbers to make a one-time payment, I would also take complaints and make a note about the complaint. At the end of every call, I would have to fill out a post-op review of what the call entailed and if I resolved the request.

Shift Managers are responsible to ensure customer satisfaction, keeping the premises clean, promote food and drink offers, managing staff, and reporting to the upper management among other things. The Ankeny establishment closed due to COVID.

As a bartender I oversaw making all the drinks for the floor I was on (either patio or inside). While I oversaw making everybody’s drinks, I was also in charge of taking care of the people that sat at the bar along with the tables I had in my section. I was expected to know the menu and the drinks. I enjoyed bartending as I am a very personable person and once, I get the system and the menu I have no issue making drinks or taking orders. I would also frequently be the opener or closer, so I has responsible for those specific duties.

As a hostesses, my main role is to greet customers. My role is making patrons or guests feel welcome and ensuring a pleasant experience by taking people to the table, offering menus, chatting or responding to inquiries, and making sure tables are clean.

As a retail associate, I am responsible for maximizing profits and increasing customer satisfaction. Main duties in sales associates include stocking shelves, handling transactions, reporting to managers, greeting customers, making product recommendations, and answering inquiries.
